Support Australia's finest young Graphic Designers

WorldSkills Australia will this year proudly present Australia’s flagship skills and trades event, Skills Show Australia 2018, in Sydney. Proudly funded by the NSW Government, the Skills Show is the only vocational education and training (VET) focused event in Australia. Skills Show Australia 2018 will take place from June 2 to 4 and is expected to attract thousands of Australian and international visitors, industry leaders and local spectators.

The Skills Show is a celebration of trades, skills, vocational education and training and above all - industry excellence. Visitors to the Show will be provided with an opportunity to discover future careers through interactive events, demonstrations and competitions.

Seven young Graphic Design students from New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia Will be showcasing their design skills against one another across the three days. Competitors will also have a chance to test their skills against an international competitor from Russia.

The competition has been created with commercial clients and is based on real and practical outcomes. Judges have looked closely at previous international competitions and are fortunate to have a past competitor from WorldSkills São Paulo 2015 who has contributed to the competition modules.

All three projects will ask competitors to showcase several key competencies in line with the nationally accredited Graphic Design and Pre-Press Competency Standards. Naturally, they will possess a good understanding of how to use core Adobe Creative Cloud applications, but will also be able to work under added pressure of the National Championships environment.

Come and immerse yourself in an interactive world of trades and skills opportunities spread across three inspiring days. Checkout the competitions and show your support for these young competitors from across the country. The Skills Show is an opportunity to connect with current and future leaders in your industry through interactive events, workshops, and hands on trades and skills focused activities.
