December is a great month, situated at the time of the year where people feel inspired to get rid of old grudges, invest in themselves and spread love and empathy around to others. As far as we are concerned, for that alone, December is more than great, it is a magical month.
2018 is coming to an end and, what a year it has been! Between expanding our operation in Australia, to winning an innovation award in the land down under, we have a lot to be thankful for.
At Echos, after every single one of our courses, we conduct a session we call “I like, I wish”, in which course participants list the things they most liked about their experience and the things they wish for next time.In the spirit of magical December, here is a selection of our favourite “I like, I wish” moments.
“I liked that the Design Thinking course was really practical; we didn’t sit and read, and we failed fast.”
“I liked that empathy was a real key element to the Design Thinking process.”
“I liked that the emphasis was on the client.”
“I liked Design Thinking because I could see real value in it.”
“I liked that it was a flexible process, you could do it quickly or take your time with it.”
“I liked the opportunity to dream big (big budget) and then dream small (no budget). I just liked to dream!”
“I like that things were the same, but different.”
“I liked thinking about the extreme cases.”
“I liked that I understood that if you don’t know what you’re solving, it is impossible to make it tangible.”
“I liked to see that every problem has a human factor behind it, so Design Thinking can be used for any problem.”
“In our real projects, I wish that we had Design Thinking from the start as, out of the agile methods, our outcomes would be really, really different.”
“I wish we can take this knowledge and apply to work.”
“I wish we could get through to stakeholders in real life to take Design Thinking on board.”
“I wish I had done this course three years ago.”
“I wish I could do this with my company’s senior executives.”
We, from the Echos team, liked to have you all along for this amazing ride that was 2018 and wish you a very happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year. See you in 2019!
