September / Andrew Hoyne - how Design can have greater influence

Fresh off judging the AGDA Awards and speaking at the Liveable Cities conference, Andrew Hoyne is joining us once again in Adelaide to present his talk “How design can have greater influence?”. His talk will focus on what techniques designers need to gain influence and become the first consultant that’s engaged rather than the last.

ANDREW HOYNE - Andrew is the Principal of brand agency Hoyne. He has worked on internationally renowned brands from Starbucks to Nike and created the drum logo for Triple J. But over 28 years Hoyne has evolved its service offer to focus its design expertise on place and property. The team works collaboratively with developers, government and councils employing strategic design thinking and project execution that highlights the social and economic value that considered design can bring to a project.

Hoyne are now often the first consultant called in to advise and determine the direction a project will take. They work with some of Australasia’s most prominent developers and help to create recognisable engaged and interesting landmarks across Australia.

In this inspiring talk Andrew will discuss useful approaches and perspectives, share insights and real-world examples and make the case that design has the power to change the way we engage and interact as individuals and as a society. He will outline how Hoyne have used industry thought leadership as a catalyst to achieve market differentiation and establish influence, which in turn has lead to the creation of a new service offer, Place Visioning™.
