June 30 marks a great time in the calendar to stop and check that your goals are on the right track. But what if your gender was stopping you from succeeding?
Associations and organisations from around Queensland (DIA, AGDA, RAIA and Parlour) are coming together to talk some home truths about gender equity and equality in the design industry, and we'd love for you to join us in the conversation.
Leading the event is Jane Connory - a PhD candidate at Monash University, working towards a gender inclusive history of Australian graphic design. She was awarded a Masters of Communication Design (Design Management) from RMIT in 2016, and has been a practising designer and illustrator in the advertising, branding, and publishing sectors since 1997. Jane has a gender agenda and passionately advocates for inclusivity and diversity in the design sector.
Jane will be joined by panellists:
Lindsay Tucker - Chair AGDA QLD
Tiffany Molloy - RAIA QLD Gender Equity committee
Monica Daley - Associate Designer, UAP
Kirsty Volz - Parlour & RAIA QLD Gender Equity committee
