Call for papers for the conference
We are looking for 4–5 people to present for 15 minutes on Friday 13 October at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery in Hobart about your experiences as a designer and/or producer of interpretation in Australia. All you need to do is fill out the form with 150 words or less on your topic. Proposals are due next Monday 14 August 2017.
Design, Print and Production
This is one of those times where size really DOES matter, as does scale, colour, form and of course, font! Great interpretation comes in many shapes and sizes, the best interpretation uses design, materiality and form to suck in the audience long before they know what the content or purpose of the interpretation is. Solid content, or having a catchy and engaging story to tell, is only one part of the challenge of great interpretation. So much goes into the behind-the-scenes design, specification, production and installation – some call it magic, others call it hard work…tell us your story!
