Australians use about 6.9 billion plastic bags a year - if tied together, they would stretch around the world 37 times. Each one of us is responsible for using 345 bags each year. Worse, less than 3% of these bags are recycled. Here's an opportunity to design and make something useful - and beautiful - with your share. There are stringent entry conditions in this essentially product design oriented competition, but the 'grand' prize is more than appealing!
