The 2006 Memento Australia Awards are now open!
Designers, artists and craftspeople across Australia are invited to enter the only national award to recognise authentic Australian mementos for travellers.
Judges are looking for authentic, contemporary designs and products that tell a story about our spectacular regions. Entries should be of high quality; be compact; reflect, interpret or comment on the character of any city or region in Australia; be available for supply; and offer value for money.
Memento winners will share in a prize pool valued at over $20,000 as well as national media exposure and access to stockists and retail outlets.
Sponsors of the Memento Australia Awards include Brisbane City Council, the Queensland Government (Tourism Queensland, Department of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Policy, Arts Queensland), the Western Australian Government (Tourism Western Australia, Department of Culture and the Arts) and Indigenous Business Australia.
The closing date for entries is 5:00pm, Friday 30th June 2006.
