Ian Anderson (Founder of the Designers Republic) is the 2002 Design Chairman, with the others adding some serious talent to YoungGuns first design award jury.

In the week leading up to the award night on October 18, YoungGuns in conjunction with AGDA will host a BigGuns Design Forum in both Melbourne & Sydney. Confirmed speakers are:
Ian Anderson, Tom Roope, Robert Nakata, Andries Odendaal, Hideki Nakajima, Pat Morrissey, Susanne Bax & an undisclosed potential guest speaker (very mysterious, but YoungGuns are staying close-mouthed about this).
Details of who will be speaking at each of the forums, and exact dates are still being confirmed, so stay tuned. As soon as we know we will post the information. Tickets will be available from the YoungGuns site in the next few weeks.
This is an extremely unique opportunity to hear some of the worlds leading designers discuss their inspiration and views on design at present. It is rare to get such a varied group of talented designers in one place, and AGDA are very pleased to be involved with YoungGuns to provide this opportunity.
The YoungGuns Design Creative Brief posted by QANTAS is also available from their website. The brief is to design the business class lounge of the future. This is an opportunity for advertising professionals & students to work on a live brief.
All creative brief entries will be judged by the design jury, the winner will receive a QANTAS travel voucher to the sum of $1,000 and the design will be taken to stage 2.
YoungGuns & AGDA look forward to October & providing a unique experience for the design community in Australia.
Entries to the YoungGuns Design Award close August 30 and you can contact Michael Kean (michael@ygaward.com) for further information.
