Ross Barr & Associates
Ross Barr is the principal of Ross Barr & Associates, a Sydney-based design practice specialising in corporate and brand communications, and probably best known for their annual report work (winning the inaugural AGDA annual report Pinnacle). He has been in business since 1972.
Long standing client relationships are a feature of the company, including many with leading ASX200 companies. Ross holds the integration of the written and visual message in high regard and has built a company based on this philosophy, rather than one driven by internal stylistic imperatives.
In addition to building and leading the current team of outstanding designers and creative thinkers at RBA (collectively the 'Barrettes'), Ross manages to find time for design and business judging tasks, sponsoring the ARA annual report awards, and collecting art. He is also still mad on orienteering.

For some reason I'm drawn to simplicity, and this simple, beautiful business card really resonated with me. No tricks, no colour, just the pure essence of who I am and what I do - the letterpress printing adding the thinking, and richness. A quiet sensation in a sea of visual complexity. Congratulations.
