Over the past 12 years Kevin has worked at a number of leading design studios in Dublin (Ireland), Wellington (New Zealand) and Sydney. He is currently Joint Creative Director at Saatchi Design, Sydney, and has won numerous prestigious national and international awards, including a D&AD (UK) Silver in typography and a Type Directors Club Judges Choice (USA). Kevin is also founder, editor and designer of Open Manifesto - currently the only Australian based journal of critical writing on graphic design.

This project stood out to me for its simplicity, beauty and quiet bravery. It managed to say so much with such incredible restraint; there is surprising depth here. Although the positioning line is not original, the mix of humour, politics, beauty and courage in this project is refreshing. This piece seems so understated but goes further than simply answering the brief. The underlying political reference is unmissable, considering the dinner was in honour of the growth of South Australia's defence industry. It is such a weighted subject but treated so delicately. There is something humble about this project too, and I find that very appealing.
