Creating Harmony Between People and Technology
AGDA is delighted to announce WACOM as Premium Sponsor of the AGDA National Biennial Awards 2006.
"We are thrilled to form this dedicated partnership with Wacom and are committed to building a long-term, successful meeting of minds and technology between Wacom and our Design community", says Liam Camilleri, AGDA Awards Chair 2006.
The word 'wacom' means harmony, and as the worldwide corporation specializing in the development, manufacture, and sale of computer input devices and software, Wacom's vision is to enhance the life experience by creating harmony between people and technology.
According to Wacom CEO Mr. Masahiko Yamada, their vision is to invest in mankind's innate creativity to provide products that lead toward a richer lifestyle.
Wacom believes that it is important to provide "intuitive products" that people can use without being aware of the advanced technologies involved - not products that follow short-lived fads, ignore usability, or force huge user manuals on the customer!
"On behalf of Wacom Australia I would like to express our enthusiasm and anticipation for this year's AGDA National Biennial Awards 2006 and it is with great pride that I wish to extend our humble support as the Premium Sponsor" says Ric Holland, Professional Products Sales and Marketing Manager.
"From Wacom's perspective, as an organisation that has strived for many years to bridge the divide between man and machine as it were, we are delighted to be taking this timely and coveted position with AGDA in presenting the finest achievements from this region to the world."
