
Woolworths Named Australia's Most Valuable Brand

The new brand creative for Woolworths Supermarkets has been names as Australia's most valuable brand worth over $7 billion, according to an independent report by Brand Finance, the world's leading brand valuation consultancy.
Brand Finance Managing Director, Tim Heberden said, "Brand Finance is delighted to recognise Woolworths as the most valuable Australian Brand. The brand valuation process takes account of financial performance and brand strength. Visual identity is one of the brand attributes that is considered - and is an area where Woolworths performs strongly."
The ranking was announced at an event in Sydney this week hosted by the Australian Marketing Institute to name Australia' most valuable brands.
Hulsbosch Managing and Creative Director, Hans Hulsbosch said, "Woolworths' management understands power and value of good design and how it is fundamental to their business success. They lead corporate Australia in using power of good design to drive growth, customer loyalty and sales."
In 2008 Hulsbosch rebranded Woolworths with a new identity that entrenched Woolworths' position as the ‘Fresh Food People'.
Hulsbosch - Communication By Design has established a reputation in Australia and internationally for its ground-breaking work to re-design the flying kangaroo for Qantas - one of the world's most recognised symbols - and the Woolworths' corporate re-design. The company recently rebranded Virgin Australia and created a new hardware brand Masters for Woolworths.
