AGDA Member Boccalatte Wins British Council Campaign
27th April, 2011
Visual and brand communications studio Boccalatte has bagged the British Council’s creative account for its ninth annual Realise Your Dream campaign.
The account, which has previously been handled by M&C Saatchi and The Glue Society, was won without a competitive pitch. Boccalatte pitched for the account last year but it was awarded to the Republic of Everyone.
Suzanne Boccalatte, founder and creative director of the studio, said: “It’s wonderful to be given this campaign by the British Council without a competitive pitch this year, as it’s a real validation of the growing strength of our work.”
Realise Your Dream campaign is an awards program designed to provide five emerging Australian creative’s the chance to kick-start their careers in the UK.
The agency has started work on the campaign, due to go live by May 13, and devised the campaign logo (pictured). The campaign will also incorporate a short animated film, a TV spot and radio as well as online and print activations.
Nick Marchand, director of the British Council, said: “Realise Your Dream celebrates the very best in Australian and British creativity and innovation, so the campaign itself has to live this ambition,”
“Of course, to inspire Australia’s daring and impulsive artistic thinkers, we needed a kindred spirit and Boccalatte embody this character in spades. We’re thrilled to be working with them in 2011.”
The campaign will be nationwide and the British Council is negotiating to have the agency’s TVC aired through the BBC’s network of television channels in the UK.
