Artisan's National Network

Melbourne's creative community braved the storms to attend the launch of Artisan Recruitment's national network, now also operating in Sydney & Brisbane. This event was a culmination of their strategic campaign to introduce their greater reach and thank the 500 strong creative community for 13 years of loyalty.
Extreme weather conditions didn't stop hoards of Melbourne's notable creative talent from flooding through the doors, and joining a massive crowd. While Windsor railway station resembled an Olympic swimming pool, across the road at The Railway Hotel, over 500 guests arrived to the "Artisan Airline" themed event.
"We've always wanted to have an airline theme, and this year it made sense as it perfectly represented the expansion into the new markets."
Branding for the event included an airline ticket invitation, and the nametag was a boarding pass. The theme became infectious; as the queue swelled to over 100 people, there was a comment from the crowd "they must be using Virgin's check-in systems." The crowd laughed, the line moved and each guest was photographed in Hollywood red carpet style. The ensuing downpour didn't dampen spirits as the venue reached capacity.
Artisan is renowned for their annual event and the thought of missing out was distressing for some as many guests phoned in late from stranded cabs and trams around the city. Those that made it, made an effort to dress the part as well. The team that dressed as the "Contaki Tour Group" made the night with their "Contaki" name tags and Cannon cameras (made of card) swinging from their necks.
THE business of celebrating was centre play on Friday evening, following what has been a successful year for Artisan, and the greater creative community. The last year saw Artisan providing services through Western Australia, Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales markets.
Artisan is also known for their involvement in many of the Nation's key Creative milestones - from agIdeas, to Icograda Design week, and working together as a key partner with the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA). The Event was Artisan Recruitment's Managing Director - Michael Broderick's way of saying "Thank you" to a massively supportive community of family and friends.
Since 1998, Artisan Recruitment has been a leading supplier of creative and creative support to the Australian creative community. Proudly Australian owned and operated, Artisan match great talent to the right jobs with offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. In 2008, Artisan was named in the BRW Fast 100 list and now provides Australia with "creatives that work".
