Artisan CD Launch #5

28th November, 2010

The Melbourne creative community came together to celebrate Artisan's launch  of CD #5 - which helps promote up and coming bands, and also their new Brisbane and Sydney offices.

When the Artisan team think of summer, they think of a cold beer down at a trendy pub, catching up with cool candidates and clients for a bite to eat and chat and, most importantly, another volume in the Artisan CD series.

"We're so proud of what the Artisan CD series has become", says part time musicologist and Artisan consultant, Lawrence Akers. "Each volume just seems to go from strength to strength and it's great that we're continuing to support a lot of unknown and very cool acts who are on the verge of breaking it big. Besides, the reaction to the CD's is always really good and has become a real point of difference in how we like to get ourselves out there."

"What better way to remind people that we're here to help than to provide some cool tunes that can help spread a bit of fun over the summer period."

Since the first volume, Artisan has been working exclusively with Level Two Music in compiling the series and ensuring that each volume is of a calibre that you would expect to pay good money for in any music store.

2010 has been a poignant year for growth as Artisan's reach has widened nationally, now operating in Brisbane & Sydney, since March this year. The company has taken full advantage of the success of its Melbourne business, while leveraging the end of the global financial crisis.

Artisan has been servicing the creative industry since 1998, providing a broad range of creative staff to some of the countries most prominent design and advertising agencies, many of whom were present on the evening.

As a market leading Recruitment Company, Artisan employs over 500 creatives annually, assisting them to find permanent and freelance work.

In less than nine months Artisan's impact is being felt in the new markets. "We've been incredibly lucky, our customers and candidates have really helped push us forward in Sydney and Brisbane." says MD Michael Broderick. "We are very excited to extend our community. Community is one of our core values that really works so well for us."

"One of the best things to come out of these new offices is that we are reconnecting with candidates and clients from our past. It's like a family reunion."

Why does a recruitment company launch a CD?

"It's fun! These CD's are a great opportunity to show everyone how creative we can be." says Akers.
