Film Collection Access and User Charging Principles
The National Film and Sound Archive is seeking public comment on their proposed Collection Access and User Charging Principles.
Since becoming an independent statutory authority, the NFSA has been progressively reviewing the way it does business. As part of that, it is examining the basis on which it charges fees to collection access users and is now releasing a draft statement of NFSA Collection Access and User Charging Principles.
The NFSA is interested in consulting as part of its decision making process and invites comments by 30 June 2010. The principles, once finalised, will be used to support a revision of Access Fees during 2010/11. Comments can be made via the survey form.
The NFSA offers a range of services to help you access the National Collection and learn more about Australia's screen and sound heritage.

AGDA Student Awards Deadline Extended to 11 August
By popular demand, the deadline for close of entries for the AGDA Student Awards has been extended to 31 August.
This is in alignment with the variety of end and start term dates of universities and schools that have expressed interest in participating and would like the opportunity to include the Brief into the new semester's curriculum.
The AGDA Student Awards were established as part of the AGDA National Awards program to recognise the excellent work produced within the education context and to celebrate and promote the achievements of the student, lecturers, mentors and educational institutions.
5 Student winners from selected finalists will be included in the AGDA Awards Gala Presentation Dinner and Exhibition on Saturday16 October at Brisbane Convention Centre during Icograda Design Week.
Australian Design Alliance
The Australian Design Alliance (of which AGDA is a founding association member) is working towards a launch event later in the year.
Key stakeholders from industry, state and/or federal government and non-government organisations will be invited to a roundtable that will serve as a catalyst for ideas, support and engagement of ADA's vision and goals.
More exciting developments in the months to come!
