A View of our Members
As the largest professional association for communication designers in Australia, AGDA is a wealth of contacts, information and ideas any business would be hard pressed to ignore.
Amongst the AGDA ranks are seasoned, professionals, emerging innovators, cultural collaborators, style influencers and opinion leaders-members of differing thinking, practise and acumen.
In the ensuing weeks, Suite7 will profile a number of randomly selected interviewees who talk about how they stay current, focused and inspired in their design journeys.
Environmental Charter
AGDA has a clear mandate to enable and promote environmentally sustainable design practices for, and to, its members.
We believe that environmental policy and governance is not just about the environment. Performance measures have progressed from financial reporting, to include reporting on the ‘triple bottom line' - economic, social and environmental.
Within its own practices, AGDA
- gathers resources (information, articles and processes) to set criteria, to promote and to lead the profession in its own education and understanding of sustainability issues;
- aligns with suppliers who are role models and exemplify the sustainability ethos;
- provides research scholarships on sustainable ideas and methodologies;
- maintains its links with the ICOGRADA network of world resources, such as the AIGA Centre for Sustainable Design - The Living Principles framework to which AGDA strives to inculcate:
- Use it
- Share it
- Enrich it
- Teach it
- Live it.

Business Owners will need to have the following information from your 2009 tax return:
-Revenue from design, artwork, production, commissions; and
-Expenditure on salaries, rent, car, utilities, telco, materials, suppliers.
This is a real opportunity since 2003 for the industry to ascertain benchmarks for business success, salary structures, billing rates, growth forecasts, and more.
