Hot Off the Press
The latest issue of AGDA's quarterly newsletter, AGENDA #26 has gone to press at Finsbury Green and should be mailed in the next couple of weeks.
Working under the umbrella theme of ‘Design Currency', three designers are interviewed on their current thinking, ten countries are measured for design effectiveness, one colour coding system is applauded in as many countries, and five portfolios are developed for AGDA councils.
Icograda Design Week Brisbane
A number of promotional initiatives are soon to be launched in anticipation of the eventful week of the 11th to 16th October:
- Leah Dent, Mark Gowing and Lloyd Grey are each designing a poster to promote the ‘Optimism' Conference hosted by AGDA on the 14th and 15th. These are to be distributed at Icograda Design Week Vancouver in April.
- The IDW Brisbane website will be launched in April with an exciting program developed in conjunction with a number of government and industry partners.
AGDA Student Brief
When AGDA plays host to the international design community at Icograda Design Week in Brisbane, Australia's own emerging design talent will be showcased at an exhibition of finalists of the inaugural AGDA Student Brief.
Stephen Banham, writer and founder of Letterbox, as Ambassador of the project has lent his support and expertise. He will contribute with an overview in the brief, serving as a source of reference and inspiration to students and educators.
