Six New Speakers Join Icograda Design Week In Vancouver Lineup

An invited list of international experts will lead the presentations, conversations and workshops at Design Currency: Icograda Design Week in Vancouver, taking place from 26-30 April 2010. Six additional design leaders have been added, each bringing with them unique experience and knowledge that further strengthens the already much anticipated lineup.

Peter Busby (Canada)
Peter is a founder and recent Chair of the Canada Green Building Council, and he has devoted much of his time to his profession, to the community, and to the advancement of sustainable education and practices. 

Valerie Elliott, MGDC (Canada)
Valerie Elliott, MGDC, has a life-long passion for protecting the environment which began in her late teens with the launch of her first book on energy conservation (1978).

Heather Fraser (Canada)
Heather Fraser is Director of DesignWorksTM and Rotman's Design Initiative. She is also an adjunct professor of Business Design at the Rotman School, which she joined in 2005 after over 25 years in industry.

Ali Gardiner (Canada)
For almost eight years, Ali Gardiner has been working in her dream job promoting sport and Canada through branding and design for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Ben Huise (Canada)
Ben Hulse is the Design Manager for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Organizing Committee (VANOC). Born in North Yorkshire, England, Ben moved with his family to Western Canada as a child in 1986.

Ronald Kapaz (Brazil)
In 1979, Ronald and his partners André Poppovic and Giovanni Vanucchi founded Oz Design, a differentiated working model where multidisciplinary knowledge is used transversely to create strong brands. As one of Brazil's most influential design consultancies, Oz is home to more than thirty associates.
