
Call for Entries: Hong Kong International Poster Triennial 2010

In 2010 the Honk Kong Heritage Museum will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Hong Kong Poster Triennial. In conjunction with the Leisure & Cultural Services Department and the Hong Kong Designers Association, the triennial will honour the theme of 'Act Live', which refers to how we should act upon our past, present and future after a decade.
The event aims to:
> Establish Hong Kong as a world city in the arena of collecting and promoting poster design
> assemble a distinct international poster collection
> Foster graphic design education and culture exchange with other countries and regions.
The event will include the competition of poster submissions to be judged by a judging panel comprising of five international renowned designers, including:
> Dr. Kan Tai-keung - Hong Kong
> Mr. Kenya Hara - Japan
> Mr. Mathias Augustyniak - France
> Mr. Michel de Boer - The Netherlands
> Mr. David Tartakover - Israel
An exhibition at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum will then follow, which will span across the end of 2010 and well into 2011. A seminar focusing on the exchange of poster the ideas on poster design is also planned for mid April.
The call for entires closes January 29, with final submissions being received by 5 pm on the same day.
