Icograda Achievement Awards Ceremony - Melbourne, July 16

The Icograda Executive Board honoured Ken Cato, Garry Emery and Dr Michael Bryce with Icograda Achievement Awards at a ceremony at the new Melbourne Convention Centre on Thursday, July 16th.
The honourees were presented with their awards by Greg Hywood, Deputy Secretary for Tourism, Aviation & Communications and Chief Executive Tourism Victoria, DIIRD; along with Professor Don Ryun Chang, Icograda President.
The special occasion marked the first Australian recipients of this prestigious and important award with Ken Cato and Garry Emery being nominated by AGDA, and Dr Michael Bryce nominated by the Design Institute of Australia, both Icograda Professional Members.
Cato, Emery and Bryce join Mario Piazza from Italy, who was presented with his award at Multiverso: Icograda Design Week in Torino and Young Hye Lee and Kumnam Baik from Korea, who received awards at the Icograda Design Week in Daegu, both held in 2008.
About the Icogarda Achievement Award
Created in 2001, the Icogarda Achievement Award honours a distinguished career and is presented to an individual or team in recognition of outstanding and consistent achievment in the practice, education or promotion of communication design.
