Illustrators Australia - 20th Anniversary Exhibition
29th May, 2009
Illustrators Australia will celebrate 20 years with an exhibition of work spanning from 1989 - 2009 as part of the Northern Exposure Visual Arts Festival, Northcote High Street 19 - 21 June 2009.
You have seen their work published in your favorite newspapers, magazines and books, now you can see professional illustrators' works from initial concepts/sketches to the final published artwork, including original illustrations and prints.
Held at Northcote Town Hall as part of the Northern Exposure Festival, this exhibition is a chance to get a glimpse at some of Australia's most well known images, new published work and an insight into the minds of those that created them.
Celebrating Illustrators Australia's 20th year, the exhibition will also feature a nostalgic look at the humble beginnings of IA through to its current role of supporting hundreds of professional illustrators across the country.
Sunday, June 21 features a series of short informal talks by exhibiting illustrators, who will chat about their work and give an insight into the processes of a practising illustrator (1-3pm).
Original works and prints will also be for sale.
Opening Night: Friday June 19th 6pm (wine, nibbles and NMIT jazz ensemble)
Exhibition runs until Sunday 21st late afternoon
