Fabrica's Communication Design for Social Impact
15th October, 2012
Fabrica's Communication Design for Social Impact will feature a selection of socially impacting posters and videos designed by the young creatives at Fabrica. The exhibition will be on view from October 13 through November 10, 2012 at the Musei Civici di Treviso's Santa Caterina complex. Unfortunately most of us Aussie's will be unable to make the exhibition, luckily the entire gallery is available to view online HERE.
The projects in the exhibition were developed in partnership with both international NGOs - the United Nations World Health Organization, UNICEF, The World Bank, Reporters Without Borders, Teachers Without Borders, and local institutions - the local health authority ULSS9 in Treviso, the La Tenda home for AIDS patients, and AVIS, the Italian blood donors' association.
The themes addressed in the exhibition include the prevention of violence and children's accidents in the home, awareness-raising on issues such as respecting human rights, disability, road safety, blood donation, climate change, the fight against stigmatisation of AIDS patients, spreading a non-smoking, non-drinking culture, the freedom of expression and the quality of education.
The agIdeas NewStar Awards have now officially closed! Well done to all the entrants, one lucky winner will be off to Fabrica to create amazing work such as this. The shortlist will be judged over the coming weeks and 30 lucky people will be contacted before the end of October. Good luck everyone!
