2012 AGDA Awards Call for Entries - Enter now!
17th June, 2012
In keeping with the Biennale’s spirit of regeneration, all award categories have been put through a rigorous process of review and realignment, and the outcome is a leaner, clearer and more relevant set of classifications.
The awards themselves have also been streamlined, with finalists and distinctions now consolidated into a single AGDA Design Biennale Award.
Importantly, the prestigious Pinnacle Award classification has been retained to acknowledge truly outstanding work.

AWARDS WEEKEND
Inspired by the origins of AGDA and its accompanying awards programme, the Australian Design Biennale will be a stripped back approach, a raw and inspired framework organized by a spirited and engaged team — the idea of going back to basics and ‘starting again’ is fundamental to this programme.
The Biennale will be a weekend affair. On Friday share a drink or two at favourite wat ring holes or visit the AGDA retrospective exhibition. On Saturday visit a gallery, go for a run round the Tan, smash out a few K’s by the bay, have lunch in Mornington, wander around an arcade, laneway or gallery & chase down a tram to Collingwood.
Saturday night, frock up for the Awards at Melbourne’s iconic, Forum Theatre. This years awards is about celebrating all Australian design, the work, the designers, the clients and the suppliers who have supported us.
A condensed ceremony will give way to an extended party to catch up, celebrate, congratulate, find a dark corner, take in the spectacle, dance a little and make up for lost time.
Put November 24 in your diary, get together a list of your Biennale entries and think about how you’d like to celebrate design in 2012.
Stay tuned.
