Taiwan International Graphic Design Awards 2011
1 June - 4 September 2011

The China Productivity Center (CPC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Department of Commercial Affairs (MOEA) and in association with the Graphic Design Association of Taiwan (GDA-Taiwan), Taiwan Graphic Design Association (TGDA), Taiwan Poster Design Association (TPDA) and Kaohsiung Creators Association (KCA) are organising the Taiwan International Graphic Design Awards 2011. The competition comprises two categories each in the poster and corporate identity (CI) competitions.

Submission deadline: Sunday, 4 September 2011 24:00

Awards
In addition to medals, defined in each category below, all award winners (except winners of Judge Panel Special Award) will receive an award certificate. Their works will be exhibited and collected in a special publication and featured as follows:
- Award winning entries will be included in the "Taiwan International Graphic Design Award Competition" special publication
- Award winning entries will be featured on the "Commercial Design Improvement Project" website and related promotional publications.
- Award winning entries will be exhibited in events related to this project.

Eligibility
- The competition is open to designers from all regions and countries.
- Design works by members of the judge panel or that belongs to their respective companies are discouraged from taking part in this contest.

Taiwan International Poster Design Award 2011
Brief
Department of Commercial Affairs, MOEA began implementing the 'Commercial Design Improvement Project' since 2004. The purpose of holding '2011 Taiwan International Poster Design Award' is to promote Taiwan (Chinese Taipei)'s commercial design and to provide local designers the opportunity to share their works and ideas with the international community. Outstanding works of commercial value and international vision will be selected to raise the visibility of Taiwan (Chinese Taipei)'s design potential, and internationalise its design industry.

All entries must be created after June 2009.

Design Categories
Special Theme: Humanities, Sustainability (including Environmental Protection and Carbon Reduction and Energy Saving) (Type A)
Open Category: Commercial, Promotional use (Type B)

Medals
Grand Prize (1 person): USD $5000
Gold Medal (2 persons): USD $2000
Silver medal (2 persons): USD $1000
Bronze Medal: (2 persons): USD $500
Judge's Panel Special Award (each member of the judge panel will select one winner, 5 in total. Winners should be outside the Gold/Silver/Bronze Award winners): Medal

Taiwan International CI Design Award 2011

Brief
In order to promote Taiwan (Chinese Taipei)'s comprehensive application of commercial design capabilities and to reflect the fact that corporate identity (CI) is more and more important by the day, the Department of Commerce, MOEA, is hosting the 'Taiwan International CI Design Award.' Creations that are of commercial value which shows an international vision will be selected to enhance the recognition of corporate owners towards CI and to strengthen the recognition towards the design energy of the general public, thus, establish a milestone for the design field.
All entries must be created after June 2009.

Design Categories
- Corporate Identity: Brand, logo and other series of design application works for corporations and institutions. (Type C)
- Event Identity: Logo and series of design application works for commercial campaigns/events. (Type D)

Gold Medal (2 persons): USD $2000
Silver medal (2 persons): USD $1000
Bronze Medal: (2 persons): USD $500
Icograda Excellence Award: Medal
JAGDA Excellence Award: Medal
