eMarketer
Great range of stats and reports, but with a strong commercial focus which means you have to buy the more in-depth reports (not cheap!). Their trademarked 'Source Comparison' approach provides consensus estimates from sets of forecasts
Nielsen Netratings
Another establishment web stats and research agency, owned by Nielsen Media Research and ACNielsen (of TV broadcast ratings fame). Good commercial product if you have the need and the money. The free stats cover top 10 properties, advertisers and web usage for a large range of countries including Australia. Main competitor is Jupiter Mediametrix.
NUA
Broad range of internet surveys covering everything from specialist sectors to demographic groups. Plus a good collection of trend articles sourced from all over.
The Standard
Internet and technology magazine that was, for a time, a commercially successful darling of that overhyped world. Now sadly just an archive of articles published Jan 1998 through to Sep 2001. Still worth a read, especially if you need a little historical context to make sense of today's trends.
AGDA – the professional platform for design excellence
AGDA is the industry authority on all matters pertaining to Graphic Design and is available for comment on industry issues. Formed in 1988 to facilitate the advancement of Australian graphic design, AGDA is recognised as the peak professional body representing graphic design in this country.
As the profession’s industry authority AGDA is available for comment on design issues of public and corporate interest and is uniquely equipped to present the concerns of the industry in a balanced and objective manner.
