Australian Copyright Council
The Australian Copyright Council is an independent non-profit organisation, that provides information, advice and training about copyright in Australia. The council also produces publications, conducts research, and makes submissions on copyright policy issues.
The Australian Copyright Council is assisted by the Commonwealth Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.
Choy Lawyers
Trevor Choy of Choy Lawyers is an active supporter of AGDA Victoria. He specialises in Intellectual Property Law and has many creative clients. He writes and presents on legal issues for graphic designers for AGDA, mainly in Victoria. Finn Roache
Chris Finn of Finn Roache is AGDA's honorary national solicitor. He specialises in Trade Mark, Copyright and Commercial Law and acts for many creative professionals Australia-wide. He has written "Copyright and the Designer" and Trade Mark Law for Graphic Designers on this site, and has also presented seminars on these issues for AGDA NSW. IP Australia
IP Australia administers Australia's IP rights system, specifically patents, trade marks, designs and plant breeder's rights. IP Australia's core task is to adminster statutes relating to IP.
IP Australia incorporates the Patent, Designs, Trade Marks and Plant Breeder's Rights (PBR) Offices. It is a prescribed agency within the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR), operating independently of the Department on financial matters and with some degree of autonomy on other matters. By charging fees for services, IP Australia recovers more than 95% of costs.

AGDA – the professional platform for design excellence
AGDA is the industry authority on all matters pertaining to Graphic Design and is available for comment on industry issues. Formed in 1988 to facilitate the advancement of Australian graphic design, AGDA is recognised as the peak professional body representing graphic design in this country.
As the profession’s industry authority AGDA is available for comment on design issues of public and corporate interest and is uniquely equipped to present the concerns of the industry in a balanced and objective manner.
