In the 2nd video of Aquent's "Educational Design Thinking Out Loud" series called "Jack of All Trades vs. Master of One", Michael Vanderbyl explains why it's almost always better to hire a designer skilled in multiple disciplines instead of a specialist. He examines the many advantages that result from working with someone who can deliver your message in a variety of ways, from industrial design to graphic design to exhibit design.

Michael, an internationally acclaimed educator and "Renaissance Designer," knows what he's talking about. Along with serving as Dean of Design at the California College of the Arts, he's also founder of Vanderbyl Design, which provides expertise in graphics, packaging, interiors, furniture, and textiles.
