Masters of the 20th Century: The Icograda Hall of Design Fame
Masters of the 20th Century: The Icograda Hall of Design Fame is an inspiring survey of the work of more than 100 leading international graphic designers who spoke at a unique series of Icograda London Design Seminars between 1974 and 1999. Every year for a quarter of a century, these seminars attracted around 1,000 students, teachers and practicing designers to learn at the knee of the great names of 20th century graphic design. Now, editor Mervyn Kurlansky, himself a distinguished Icograda contributor, has assembled the work of these masters of modern communication in one stunning visual compendium.

Do you do web design?
Graphic design had changed considerably over the past decade with the new technologies and the overwhelming influence of the Internet. We want to know how many of you incorporate these new media demands into your work.
Give your opinion and vote at http://www.icograda.org

Do you feel your business is doing better, the same or worse than three months ago?
We want to keep track of the changes in the practice and your forecasts for the times to come. We are repeating this question every few months in trying to establish the flow of trends and other issues regarding graphic design.
Compared to the results we got from you three months ago, we have to say that the situation is clearly not looking up for most of you. Only 17 percent consider their situation to have improved, compared to 18 percent from a few months ago. It is not a significant change, though. The percentage of you whose situation did not change considerably has fallen from 19 to 13 percent, while 70 percent of you stated that their business is going worse than three months ago, when we had 63 percent of you with that answer. A rough 70 percent of you that have found this past period really difficult is not very encouraging result. It is a new year, however, and we sincerely hope the numbers will improve considerably in a few months.
Do you feel your business is doing better, the same or worse than three months ago?
Better 17%
Same 13%
Worse 70%
